Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

ISLAMABAD – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the foreign minister and chairman of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), has stated that Imran Khan, the former prime minister and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was imposed on the nation and that his decisions have caused so much damage that the nation is on the verge of default.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday in Islamabad, the foreign minister said that the country's foreign policy had been damaged over the past four years, despite accusing the chairman of the PTI of using undemocratic forces in his politics.

He said that the PPP has always struggled to strengthen democracy, and everyone knows how Imran Khan got selected from being a cricketer.

The PPP chairman went on to say that the war between Russia and Ukraine is causing a global economic disaster.

The FM added, "Imran Khan's decisions have ruined country's relations from the Middle East, Europe, and the US," and that the so-called "long march" of the PTI chairman serves no democratic purpose.

He added, "The purpose of announcing the Long March on the same date is to cause controversy over the appointment."

The chairman of the PPP stated, "I am sending a message to Imran Khan and all these Bilawal asked, "Why did you choose to announce the Long March on the same week if real democracy and freedom are the goal?" He added that the PTI chairman's goal is to once more play games with the country's fate.

"Your [Imran Khan's] right to hold protests and engage in politics is valid, but let this appointment be carried out in a constitutional and legal manner."

Bilawal Bhutto stated, "If you [Imran Khan] will stage a protest in Rawalpindi this week, then everyone knows what your purpose is," adding that similar plots have failed before and will fail again today. We are mentioning you to keep away from such legislative issues."

He stated, "President Arif Alvi has the last chance, and I hope he will follow the law and the constitution." However, "if he [President] tries to mess up, then he will also have to suffer the consequences," he added.
